Commercial and Public Safety Applications

Aerial Inspection

Aerial Inspection provides invaluable information about an asset’s condition that allows making critical operational or maintenance decisions. By using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles an asset can be inspected live, capturing high resolution stills, HD video and infra-red images. Later this information can be further processed by engineers to deliver a detailed condition report.
This kind of inspections delivered by UAVs is particularly valuable for close visual and thermal inspections of industrial structures and infrastructures (flare stacks, flare tips, bridges, pipelines, electric power lines, etc.) both onshore and offshore in the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Utilities industries.

Aerial Surveillance

Aerial Surveillance is the area of surveillance methods, usually visual imagery or video, from an airborne vehicle. Technological advances over the past decade – such as digital imaging technology, miniaturized computers, embedded electronics and numerous other – have contributed significantly to rapid advances in Aerial Surveillance tools and hardware such as remotely piloted aerial vehicles and high-resolution imagery capable of identifying objects at extremely long distances.
Flexible unmanned aerial platforms with a range of sensors on-board are broadly used as surveillance vehicle to monitor a certain area or scenery.

Aerial Mapping & GIS

Nowadays, digital aerial imagery is widely applied in Mapping, GIS (Geographic Information System) and Surveying. Adding an aerial photo image to a project can dramatically improve the usefulness of mapping and GIS data. High-quality aerial photos can provide details about structures, vegetation and other features that can be crucial in understanding a property or a landscape.
For use in these fields, an image must be geo-referenced, i.e. registered to specific places on the earth. In addition, sometimes to create accurate imagery – images that truly represent the surface of the earth – a photograph must be orthorectified, that is adjusted to correct for terrain displacement and camera tilt.
Aerial photographs of high resolution can be created from our drones flying set routes. Some photos are simply geo-referenced pictures, while others have “bands” of data that can be further analyzed with the help of special software.

Aerial Security

Aerial Security means performing security-aimed monitoring and surveillance operations with the help of airborne vehicles. This kind of activities suggests that human officers (security organizations, law enforcement, police, etc.) would be able to remotely monitor and view video and data acquired from drones while planning and executing their operations.
The spectrum of applications where drones are used for security purposes is vast: scouting and reporting emergencies, monitoring accidents and crimes, surveillance of a certain landscape area, operating in highly busy and jammed contexts, detecting vehicles and pedestrians, as well as their tracking from up in the sky, and so on.

Aerial Search & Rescue

Aerial search for lost persons has been widely used all over the world in the past decades, even though it is considered to be an extremely costly method when performed with traditional fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. Small, highly maneuverable  unmanned aerial vehicles may aid and support search efforts in many situations for a fraction of the cost and resources.
Moreover, in the situations with probability of contamination in place, using aircrafts without pilots on-board represents a particularly valuable opportunity to avoid unnecessary human risks. In such cases, in addition to SAR activities, a level of ground-deposited radiation can be measured from aerial platforms. With the help of our remotely piloted aircrafts and radiological measuring equipment, the SAR team can perform analysis of aerial imagery and measurements, locate lost radioactive sources, conduct aerial surveys and map large areas of contamination.

Aerial Scientific Services

Aerial Scientific Services cover a vast range of high resolution imaging and remote sensing data – acquired from an airborne vehicle and scientifically calibrated – that assist in many scientific applications such as wildlife census, environmental monitoring, critical site measurement and mapping, meteorological research, and many more.
UAVs are designed especially for the activities that require very precise and accurate aerial data acquisition. Our company holds a significant experience in elaboration, analysis and post-processing of aerial data based on our long track-record of the past projects developed in collaboration with numerous research and scientific organizations.

Aerial Video

The recent advent of professional remote-controlled filming technology provides the ability to show viewers remarkably smooth high-definition aerial footage from a perspective that has never been seen before. Companies around the world are starting to take advantage of this, and now Aerial Video shooting is used in many applications both by video production experts and professionals of other industries.
UAVs are particularly suitable for Aerial Video applications due to their numerous advantages such as versatility and mobility, quiet and safe operations.

Aerial Photography

Our unmanned aerial platforms are widely used in Aerial Photography. This vast area of applications includes cartography, photogrammetric surveys, land-use planning, archaeology, movie and artistic projects, environmental studies, surveillance, commercial advertising, property analysis, agriculture and many other uses.
Due to our System Integration capabilities UAVs are characterized by their vast choice of payload (and cameras on-board) options that would satisfy requirements of any photography professional.
